Welcome to CSUN's Society of Women Engineers

About CSUN SWE

The Society of Women Engineers, founded in 1950, is a nonprofit educational and service organization in the United States. SWE has over 37,000 members in nearly 100 professional sections and 300 student sections throughout the United States.

California State University's chapter of Society of Women Engineers knows that a woman is more than a diversity quota: she is a necessary and viable asset in all science, technology, engineering, and math-driven fields.

CSUN SWE strives to:

*Empower women to achieve their goals along their respective career paths.

*Be the driving force that establishes these careers as highly desirable for women

*Recognize the achievements of women within these traditionally male dominated fields

*Challenge negative perceptions against girls and women in STEM fields
